Our success story

We have been researching and developing innovative industrial biotech processes since 2009. Our goal is to come up with sustainable solutions which present no risks to humans or the environment.

TIBIO is a Swiss biotech company founded by PD Dr. Davide Staedler, a biologist with a doctorate in chemistry. The ODB system (Oil Degradation by Bacteria) is one of the first solutions we developed and today considered a key product in the biotech pipeline. Our unique patented system is being successfully deployed all over Europe to clean old oil-filled electrical cables. To date we have decontaminated around 150 kilometres of cables – and this figure is increasing daily.

In addition to the ODB system we also provide environment-friendly solutions in other fields. They include the use of similar bacteria strains to decontaminate soil or the bacteria-based reclamation of precious metals from electronic scrap.
